I worked on these in the early 80's and again in the early 90's. For such a big lump they are indecently quick and such a smooth ride. One we sold from new we had to de-badge as the man didn't want people to know what he had. Lovely car. People can be scared of the hydraulics but provided the fluid is kept clean they are not a problem. The height correctors can stick if the fluid gets contaminated but fit a diesel fuel filter into the system and a few fluid changes sorts that.

1964 Ford Cortina Mk1 - I have listed this one purely on the fact that its a dealer that's being fair & honest with his listing which to be frank is somewhat very rare!
'Right then.... bit of a monstrosity this one but good underneath. Ford Cortina MK1 2 Door Pre Airflow Model. This is a RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Currently needs Uk registered but we will complete all the paperwork for the new owner. Car needs ripped to bits and start again. Its had a 2. 0 pinto fitted, 5 speed box and a steering rack conversion. Some of the engineeering is quite "creative". I think that would be a polite way to put it!!!
Body - Export spec MK1 Cortina 2 Door shell with the extra strut bracing. Good solid original inner wings, chassis, floors. Needs small repairs on inner sills. Rear arches have been butchered and need sorting. Looks to have had repairs in both boot wells in the past which need sorting.. Someone has also altered the boot floor a bit to accomodate a different tank. Again needs sorting. Paintwork is rank rotten. Bumpers are also a work of sheer artistry. Front is a hacked mk2 escort one and rear is also whats left of a mk2 Escort
Mechanics - Decent sounding 2. 0 pinto on homemade mounts, homemade sump, homemade rack conversion. 5 speed gearbox. If Carlsberg did engineering they would run a mile from this one.
Interior - All there but quite hideous.
Wheels - Black 5 spoke thingys with average tyres.
this car is a bit of a monster but its pretty good where it matters and if you throw all the s** t away its not the worst starting point for a project. Please feel free to come and see the car and marvel at the engine conversion. We have a ramp so you can inspect underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required please ask for a quote'

1967 Triumph Herald 1200 - 59,000 miles - Yep not that interesting - not that quick either but its lovely, documented restoration and presented in superb condition - very, very fairly priced at £5,650 Offers invited - you wouldn't stand a hope in hell of restoring one to this standard for that money - the parts alone would exceed the asking price of the car

1976 Triumph Stag - Just out of long term ownership - pretty solid car for cosmetic improvement - Engine refresh 5k miles ago - Sill structures undertaken to high standard - good running / driving car but now needs the external panels sorting - mainly the wheel arches & door bottoms but by no means a rot box / weldathon affair - Excellent rolling restoration project for someone with bodywork skills - all repair panels are available and its sensibly priced at £5,995

1960 - Wolesley 1500 Retromod - Posted here because its solid & very, very clean, refreshed engine with a twin weber, wide steel wheels fitted with new Pirelli Cinturato's - looks right and no doubt sounds right - advertised at a very fair £7,495 or near offer - You would have all on to find a straight & clean one in basic old giffer spec for this money let alone one with these mods
