Apologies but Ford UK stuck me over a barrel wholesale and used a 10' bargepole supplied by their cooperate legal team when I purchased a new vehicle from them in 2002 - it got sold with 6 months of ownership and I vowed that the Ford experience would never enter my life again - along with a small list of other cooperate establishments that's wronged me over the years - see us Yorkshireites have long memories
Sounds like they were living up to their name... First On Rubbish Dump
My Grandfather worked for Ford for 31 years, my Uncle for nearly the same ,but a lot of which was more time spent at Cosworth. Sad that neither of them rated the newer offerings.Times change....
I think the same can be said for most manufacturers now, Im Vauxhall through and through but I wouldn't advise anyone to buy a Vauxhall/Opel now, very poor quality cars and very poor quality customer service from most dealers
Johns van certainly came out well, looks good with the sign writing on now as well
One of these would be the ideal size for you Chris!
On the radar along with HA Van, Chevanne, Mk1 Astra van, Rover Commerace, Metro, Marina, Ital, Meastro etc - NOTHING FORD - may consider something Euro but the VW prices are crazy - nothing hanging - needs to be reasonably solid - no major restro - obviously don't mind something that would require a paint job / accident damaged etc - I'm not in a hurry & something will turn up once I stop looking
With regard to the HA there are virtually no panels left to repair them, almost all suspension bushes are no longer available and the engines aren't the best
Chevannes are ok but again panel work can be very difficult and when you do find panels they will be expensive, same 1256cc as the late HA van so engines aren't the best and stupid things like oil filters are no longer made so the only supply is NOS until they run out!
Getting there with the MK1 Astra van with ok ish panel supply even if its got to come from abroad, great engines and most running gear parts available
Successful road trip completed, dropped johnthesparky's parcel of parts a bit nearer to his place so he can pick it up on his travels, John had gone out of his way to pick me up a couple of used 3 phase distribution boards, complete with incomers and populated with various MCBs for when I get around to upgrading my electrics, what a good man! Our existing board looks ok, typical farm type installation but it uses nasty old circuit breakers, when you get the cover off all the connections are exposed which I really don't like!
So after a slight delay I managed a small test of the sloe gin just to calm digbethdave and georgeb 's fears that it may be contaminated or unfit for the human pallet!
I have to say its rather very good, the glass is small its just the camera angle!! Oh and I might have topped it up again just to be sure!
My Littlest Bottle Opener gave me a Number Zero yesterday and was last seen waving the clippers in Barney's direction with, "Let's botak (make bald) Barney."
He made his escape, but now I have a better understanding of why he always looks like this...
Its a bit like the fourth bridge here with 4 1/2 doggies, there is always one that needs doing! and you thought the fairer sex needed a lot of product, I think we have upwards of 18 different shampoos, conditioners, de-tangling stuff and god knows what else hanging about!
The three big ones are all short coated, so not too bad, but the others are two Shih Tzu and two microscopic little poodle-like items (don't ask). Those four have more hair-care kit than the average salon.
My method would be keep 'em all shorn, it's not like fur's actually necessary for warmth here, but what do I know?
In addition, having gone through a ruinous bout of distemper, we've probably got more bottles of potions and pills than your local vet. Must have a clear out.
That reminds me. They all need a Frontline top-up, lice being a major problem here. That's another eleven million Peso!
On the other hand, the kitten, confidently diagnosed as a girl by Jey-Ann, but which has since sprouted a rather impressive set of balls (but not for much longer), only needs worming stuff and is really cheap to operate.

Hopefully its just the animals up for the frontline/lice treatment!
