The car even made it to national television. British Leyland, as the BMC-concern was now named, showed an interest too and came over to Stimson’s humble factory to examine the car. Barry Stimson, now resembling an ageing rock star recalls: “They wanted to know all about the stress tests we had put it through. I said we had a fat friend and we got him to bounce up and down on the chassis. If it bent we welded another strut in. We never heard a thing of them anymore.”

This forum is simply fantastic all that Matt has had to do so far is negotiate a price and pay for it, and all I have had to do is go and load it to a trailer and bring it back to home - our forum members have actively contributed by doing all the research for us

You wouldnt believe how long i spent perusing the interweb for pics on these while mumbling and bemoaning the utterly dire line up at her maj's concert last night.... other than queen and nile rogers , what a bunch of has beens and who the fuuu....!!
This is great - will look forward to watching this progress. I have an AMC Cub (moke-a-like) And have quite a few kit car magazines (mainly with Cub articles) but will have a look ifowt related to this. Can recomened minikits on Faceache if not already members.
Obvious from my avatar that I'm mildly fond of Minis but, my God, some of the kits that got built round them are "challenging" in the looks department!
The Stimson does have something of a "meant to be aquatic" look to it.
And that Camber/Maya looks (to me) like someone was copying the plans for an Ogle and knocked the copier over partway through.
So is the aim to collect all the unloved and aesthetically challenged cars ever made?! Between the two of you I think you should make a good job of it though!
