Looking at the last picture it looks really classy (at least it is not white, silver or black and has no cheap aftermarket rims). Being totally not a Mercedes fan even I could become weak if that steering wheel would have been on the correct ;-) side.. Thom
So after a quick check over and all looking as it should, it was off to the MOT centre and thankfully no dramas which meant another clean bill of health.
Looking at the mileage made me feel guilty though, I really should use this thing more now it's all working as intended!

Ohhhh - that I assume is good news. Any tips on selling an SL ? I've want to put mine up for sale soon.
Ultimately it is, will certainly miss it though. Gone to a good home and I'm sure I'll see it about as relatively local.
As for tips, patience and be prepared for a lot of timewasters; the market for them seems to be all over the shop at present so hold out for the right person/deal unless you go down the auction route, but that again has its own pitfalls.
I felt I wrote a half-decent ad and listed it on Car & Classic and PH and waited, I did also stick it on facebook marketplace on recommendation from someone but that didn't yield much in the end.
Guy who bought it even had it inspected, so it was a trip to a local MB specialist this morning. Nothing too untoward found asides the usual wear and tear items so a deal was done where I made a bit and he was happy. Can't complain with that.
