BSA 3 wheeler rebuild carried over from introduction section

After about 5 mins that's exactly what she did say.

Hi Strikey yes most people are aware of the Morgan 3 wheeler but not many are aware of the BSA even though at the time BSA outsold Morgan about 7 to 1 I believe. History has not been kind to the poor old bsa's. 

Pity they don't get Morgan prices though AAHHH

First test drive and first time together and running for 50 years. I think I better stop now before I get to carried away, or someone with a straight jacket might come to take me away. 

Sorry but as always I just get stuck in and never seem to take many pic's. But if I come across any I will post them but I don't want to be boring. I have a very short video of me driving the BSA but don't know how to add as attachment. Can anyone help???

Before the 3 wheeler BSA made rear wheel drive stately type car's, they then developed the front wheel drive system, Alvis had tried but make front wheel drive but were not very successful and I believe after a few accidents gave up on the idea. BSA took up the challenge and sorted the Alvis properly. As a lot of BSA customers had motorbikes the logical progress was a front wheel drive car that could be driven on a motorcycle licence as it could be made to look like a "proper car". BSA originally offered a Hotchkiss air cooled motorcycle type engine, but latter they developed there own 4 cyl water cooled engine of 1075cc. The hotchkiss 2 cyl was offered as well all the way to the end of 3 wheel production. At the same time all this was going on the next step was to make a 4 wheel front wheel drive sports car. They made various models of 2 and 4 seaters. and did 7 series. Here's a couple of pictures of some . As I said before my 3 wheeler has the gear lever coming into the car between your legs, but later on they developed the gearchange to come out of the dash, long before Citroen did it. The Scimitar GTC that is in the picture is my car.
