So I'll be ensuring that I'm in attendance for all 3 days of it - Its so much more than just an historic race meeting too - Amazing attention to detail with everything undertaken in a time warp period ethos

Just back - The BRM team had 3 roving reporters on site so get ready for a deluge of very nice pics to follow over the coming week or so - I also made an error in my introduction to the event by stating that Revival is probablyoneof the worlds best historic race meetings (I have now fixed the error)
Indeed a stunning event, I was there for the Sunday. By the last day the word had spread far and wide, and even our extra-terrestrial friends wanted to be part of the action.
Gassers, and a good band, I'd not noticed the amusing sign until the photos
A very British photo, I love the fact that oily-rag cars get as much attention as multi-million pound cars.
The commercials always catch my eye - and this one was stunning.
This German registered one too, I can only imagine how slow it would have been in period, with a Mk2 Jag hanging from the crane.
Even the end of the day can be great. A fleet of classic taxis run around, for people parked/staying at some locations around the estate. My ride was a glorious Mk1 Jaguar long-term owned by l lovely Dutch guy.
Parking where I did, gave the opportunity to sneak in a picture as we left through the grounds. Daimler doesn't come out much, but was an absolute joy to take out for the day.

Struggling a little for time at present as away again first thing tomorrow, instead I will do a full update next week from the perspective of attending for the full weekend (spoiler - it's rather good ).
In the meantime a couple of teasers:
When you arrive at the camping and this is the first sight that greets you, you know you are in the right place.
Once camp was set up etc. it was off to the drivers cricket match where these two arrived speckled with mud and most definitely looking the part
You can't quite see it from the angle I took the photo but the roof bore the signature of a certain Mr S Moss.
I only went for the Friday and the event is spectacular. You could spend a day checking out the cars in both of the public classic car parks. Took loads of pics but there is too much to show

2 fully loaded Javelins ready for departure from Grumpy Towers
I can just about squeeze everything in to it
Camp Jowett established upon arrival
Then off to the Thursday afternoon cricket match which features many of the celebrity drivers that race over the weekend
But we've not really come to watch the cricket
The match has its own classic car park - it's one of Revivals hidden secrets - arrive early and then attend probably one of the most chilled out & informal car classic shows that you likely to find in the UK
Only just getting started - loads more to come yet

Away from the cricket match some other general spots from around the various venues
Along with some initial pics from the paddocks
It's of no surprise the efforts that are made with set dressing - This is the Goodwood Road Racing Club members enclosure
The Jag XK being just one of the hundreds of static car exhibits
And not just cars either - many historic aircraft are on display
Back through just one of the many paddocks
100 years of the Austin 7 was celebrated at the event and every time you turned a corner you would find another 7 on static display - sometimes solo, sometimes in pairs and quite often several of them huddled around each other

This 'Frontline' MGC was on display - the detail was appalling with panel gaps large enough to drive a bus through & a shockingly poor trim fit - I wouldn't have dared put my name to it
Just what you have always wanted in your life a modified dolly trolley
