1963 Peel P50 Microcar - I'm going to take into account that it's probably the first pre production model along with the fact its one of only 46 of the original production run and its in original condition - I'm also going to temper that with the fact that it's a used patina, far from perfect and in fact scruffy & poorly presented in several areas BUT the hammer fell on the online auction of this car last night at £111,000 !!!!! - The world has well & truly gone mad
If the body was finished in alloy rather than fibreglass then yes it would be more than worth the money - but its fibreglass probably worth half of what they are asking then - don't get me wrong its nicely executed / well finished and it looks the part but in reality its a kit car replica

1981 Ford Capri 3.0S X Pack - Yep its rare, low mileage too - apparently repainted several years ago in what appears to be at least 3 different shades of Stratos Silver - Currently on the market for £64,650 - Utterly & totally bonkers pricing

I thought the X Pack had sort of squared off arches but price wise that is crazy when you think what else you could buy for that money. Some bampot will buy it. Give me a nice Alfa anyday. (A 105 Bertone Coupe 2 Litre GTV) Had one in 1985. It was a 1974 model and pretty rotten but what a car. Two litre twin can on twin 40's, 5 speed box, LSD, disc brakes all round. Beautiful to drive. Would love one now.
I love these and this one seems done to a very high standard - and you certainly couldn't find another in this country in this shape, but $50,000 dollars! 29000 pounds!

Lovely - £115 mil lovely - no chance - I could outright purchase a 20,000 sq ft unit and fill it full of everything I've ever wanted / dreamed of on 4 wheels and still give £100 mil to charity rather than spend it on a single vastly over priced motor

It looks to be in a very good & well restored order - It has all its original fittings and is period correct - I would have liked to have seen some pics of the rear of the car along with the engine bay & chassis but if they are has nice as the rest of the pics then its certainly the best presented example to come to the market for the last few years - description is correct too and it's one of the much rarer Mk 1A versions with a separate boot that is accessed from the rear of the car
This is the one that I completed last year and was valued at £48k but is a Mk1 - so given that the one that's in the market is a Mk1A and for sale with a dealer who has obviously priced the car at a premium then £55k is about right - will he get it ? who knows - is it worth it ? - Personally I don't think that the interior trim colour blends that well with the cream paintwork - nor does the piping bead come to that and the hood would have been black originally - from my own experience I would value the car in the £45 - £47k region but you have consider that the dealer wants his slice of cake too
and I suppose if you want one in the colonies there are many less to choose from - I am also amazed at what people are asking for cars these days - new and old.
