Was just the other night reading about the Pontiac concept pickup - El Catalina. Apparently 2 prototypes were made and one still exists. I think it looks really smart.
A caddy was my first car! Drove it all the way back from Devon! Was a rot box and was for ever breaking down! Stupid Pierburg carb thing! Couldn't weld and had more interest in Jowetts so as soon as my saloon was roadworthy that took its place!
Only £23k! A Yorkshire man would cough at that price. What pocket change, if only my short arms could reach into my deep pockets. Though the latest project might resemble something like that one day!

my old thing... should have kept it really , just like everything else!
ahhhh...the old pierburg! that got binned off in favour of a webber with a k&n panel when the auto choke started to play silly sods. a luminition kit was fitted when i got really fed up changing shonky points and condensors , especially the last occasion when to avoid a 3am (pre mobile phone days) breakdown in darkest Wiltshire i had to drive from the A303 junction all the way into Salisbury flat out , as any less it just wouldnt run...Wilton went by in a blur! Vented GTi discs were presuaded to fit as was an early 5 speed gti box when the 4 speeder finally shat itself. in the end it went very well for what it was.
It used to break down on the way to college! Same bloody spot! I liked it, but just seemed endless trouble! The number plate ending in RTA. A road traffic accident waiting to happen! Went green laneing with it, got it stuck in a ditch! A random walker had to help push it out!
Just had a delve through the old face ache archives... Here we go! Complete with the go faster electrical tape blue lines!
