Mmmm' I think you'd better weld the nuts to the bolt heads just in case I might possibly like it too much 

I also updated my shrinker recently. Only difference is i went for one with rounded jaws to get into tighter radiuses.

I did find after using it i want 2 of them one for each shrinking and one for stretching. Changing the jaws all the time.

If you have a set of the vice style ones keep them close until you get used to the new one as the can work a lot faster and its easy to over shrink/stretch.

Plenty of distractions over the holiday period here which meant minimal workshop time, including a wood session to stock up the diminishing supplies thanks to that cold snap before xmas, the discovery therefore got put to work collecting some more timber.


The workshop time I did manage resulted in a tidy with numerous parts being sorted out - finally! The aim being to have a sell-off/clear out this year... he says. Keep your eyes on the for sale section if there's anything of interest (or PM me) but highlights include various BMW E36 spares, VW camper parts, MGB spares and a number of engines... speaking of which, putting them all together highlighted that I think I have a bit of an issue!


Those to be moved on include a 2l toyota lump from a Corolla


Peugeot 1.6 gti engine


VW T2 1.5l


MGB 1.8


and a Rover 3.9 V8 from a mk1 Discovery which I might sell as a job lot with the R380 box I have as well.

I've also been asked if I can find a home/dispose of a 1993 Cavalier 1.7TD Envoy after friend of the family recently passed away, the temptation is to use it as station car but I don't really need another on the driveway. Although cleaning it up and taking it to the festival of the unexceptional is very, very tempting! Thanks for the advice gtviva



In other news the Herald Chassis finally got moved off the trailer and over to where the panels are currently stored (more on that thread), and there was even some Celica surgery, again, more on that thread. The trailer also got some tlc after it's battle scars from a certain little van of johnnybravo 's

Best to start off as I mean to go on and get stuck in to the projects once more. Hopefully with less distractions and more project progress but then again you never know what SWMBO has up her sleeve for the house and garden - plans are already afoot!  .

Bring on 2023.

PS - Are you really sure that our other half's are not talking each other on a regular basis of home distraction / spanner in the works tactics 

If you plan on lasting the winter i think you will need more logs than that.

If you get a chance pull a wheel trim off the cavalier and let me have the part number off the back, 8 digits starting with a 9 as there are a few subtle variations

im going to guess a bead roller in the box as it would probably be the most use for the bits your making.
