Had the tree cut down behind the car port which means I could extend it back another meter, so this week I extended it and cut the tree stump out, and put a steel roof on it
Can fits now and is 100% out of the rain now, as before the front end stick out.
I built a garage out of security fencing on the rear to hide my dads dead z4 and various other bits, engine crane, garden furniture etc
Where I keep my transit, I bug out the mud and stuck some paving slabs down, and threw some old house bricks in the middle as I had no use for them and wanted them out my way.
Not garage related as such. But needed a small light by my the gate with in being dark nights soon.
didn't want to start running cables under the drive, and mains lights are all quite bright, and the neighbour across the road likes to complain at everything I do.
bought an old lantern off eBay. Covered in paint.
set it on fire to burn it off, power washed it and a quick coat of paint, a w5w LED and a bulb holder out of a broken light.
I’ll run it off an old car battery that isn’t good enough for a car. Should last months even years without needing a charge.

Nice to know that I'm not the only one singled out for the selfish & childish behaviour of a neighbour - welcome to the club
Yes, they come over and complain every time I make a sound, jet washing, kitchen fitter using power tools, tree surgeons chipper too noisy, ripping up cardboard for the recycling bin,
at first I said sorry to them, now I just listen to what they say and carry on.

Hmm, Very annoying - but not has annoying as the curtain twitches opposite me (not that we are running a contest between us for who has the worst neighbour) but try the police turning up at your door with allegations from your said neighbour that your CCTV cameras are spying on them - laughable given that the camera's at the time were cheap dummy's (since changed to a live linked system due to insurance requirements) - Followed by countless false & invented allegations to the local authorities that I was working outside of my planning conditions on the workshop - The list is pretty endless of childish, selfish & low level petty actions in direct retaliation against the fact that I gained planning permission for my workshop - Whilst we have learnt to completely ignore them they have manged to make themselves look very low level stupidly foolish to the local community & neighbourhood - This has gone on for the last 5 years - At first it effected both myself & my wife through concern leading to high level stress / lack of sleep etc but for the last 4 years we have just been laughing it off
Not the garage exactly but still driveway related,
I’ve only had to charge the battery for the little light once in a year. It was still working but wasn’t as bright.
This month I’ve done the entrance ramp to the drive.
It was crumbling and badly uneven.
Didn’t want to spend much so got free slabs, bricks I already had but I did pay £40 for the a couple of years ago. Sand and cement. And I bought a cement mixer for £40 to make life a bit easier.
This weekend put some wood on the edge of garage roof and put a new piece of plastic sheet on top as it was leaking and I haven’t got time to get roof sheets or the money this year.
Fitted a new fusebox to upgrade the re wireable fuseboard that was in there.
Also go an old cast iron lamppost in place and wiring in, just need to either buy a new lantern or find a half decent second hand one, this will give just enough light in the winter when coming home etc and it’s always pitch black.
