1930 Chevrolet AE Tourer - 6 cylinder tourer in a running & driving oily rag condition which is exactly how I would keep it - strong 6 cylinder engine - Fantastic source of fun and in my book very keenly priced at £8k

1968 Triumph 1300 Manual - Very rare little car in todays classic market - Ex maltase car - Just 33,000 miles and very, very clean - engine bay could be improved upon with little effort - For sale with a dealer but its worth all of the £7k asking price

1954 Vauxhall Velox E Series - Stunning - 21,000 miles from new - Very genuine car - £9,500 or near offer - You couldn't restore one for anything near this price - its a absolute gift
This one is calling my name very very loudly! I may have mentioned elsewhere that a few years ago I arranged for a friend to use his Silver Dawn to drive my nephew and his girlfriend to prom (two nerdy kids who suddenly became the hit of the event - my friend couldn't get away for 45 minutes as everyone wanted their pic taken in front of the car - Who knew the theme was The Great Gatsby )
SWMBO suggested that I should get a large car to drive nieces and nephews to proms and weddings (I wonder if she would admit it now )
at any rate I think this fits the brief perfectly - a large, quality car that I think continues to be an amazing bargain. I would even take a bathtub model but the clipper....

1983 Fiat Strada 105TC Abarth - 28,000 miles - much history - recently recommissioned - requires some minor cosmetics & detailing - £9,600 - These were a very, very hot hatch in the day - Its a fraction of the price of the equivalent in a blue oval format and much rarer

1970 Saab 96 V4 - Solid car that requires minor fettling & improvement - Left hand drive but I think this adds to the character & appeal of what it is - looks like bags of sensibly priced fun and quite different from your normal early 70's classic - £5,295 ONO
Sadly discretion continues to be the better part of valour (and there are certain anatomy parts that I continue to value and really don't want to lose.)
Besides sometimes cars are like busses. this showed up this morning

Mk1 Vauxhall Astra Estate 1.3S - Very clean & sub 52,000 miles from new - Can't recall when I last clocked a Mk1 estate - Quite rare now - sensible money £4,250

My Grandad had one very like this, but with blue velour interior, and always a packet of extra strong mints sat by the ashtray. I must get some garage space sorted then I indulge in something like this or perhaps a CE.

Nothing like a hint of what you would like - we'll start looking
