This Merc W114 250 is currently on the market - its on air suspension and has a Mercedes M04 2.8 litre engine fitted with a 5 speed Cosworth gearbox - nicely executed mods with attention to detail
Myself & toomanyprojects exhibited at the NEC alongside this car in 2019 - it's nice but when I last viewed it under scrutiny the paintwork detail let it down (Unless its been repainted since)
Could potentially be interested and it is reasonably local ish but the MOT history is not encouraging with so many advisories repeatinf year after year so not being addressed. Has a hard top too.

There are better examples available cheaper - just not on your doorstep
Its quite a rare car - obviously with all the underpinnings / drive train being Sprite / Midget and all being readily available off the shelf - fibreglass body may come with issues and be a little more difficult to repair than most people think but in the right hands its readily restorable - Its fairly complete & quite sensibly priced - Go buy it before I do

That'll do for me...organised a viewing for this weekend.
Drive train should be Midget and A-series, but that is a B-series motor, so quite a Frankenstein.
Also looks to have had an under bonnet fire. I bet old burned GRP isn't fun to repair. Either that or it has a snotty bonnet bulge to clear the B-series engine.

I bet a B Series in a Midget would be a good laugh...1622cc so an MGA engine. I found some info on the car on the Sprite register, it looked fairly similar to now. I think it could be a really cool car.

1993 Mercedes 500 SL R129 - 106,000 miles - a few areas of concern on the MOT history but nothing glaring and there appears to be a misreading of the mileage where it jumps from 101,000 to 109,000 then back to 105,000 on the following years test - looks like it would benefit from new discs & pads - engine bay needs a clean up & the interior would readily revive in the right hands - It doesn't need a lot - Its super cheap at £7,995 - These are readily £12 - £20k + elsewhere - Don't be surprised if its not already sold

Another Mercedes R129 - SL320 - Just 68,000 miles + service history - requires straight forward cosmetics to paintwork & detailing - its cheap @ £6,000 - I'm currently in the process of replacing my tow vehicle otherwise I would be enroute to collect this
