Ho don't worry one of my neighbours lads already does that - passed his test at the start of the year - His auntie gifted him a pretty straight 2002 Mk4 Golf - nothing special but he's a young lad and incredibly well behaved at that - However, he's a petrolhead and the first thing that went missing on the golf was the original exhaust system to be replaced with a noisy sports system, All his mates have the same thing with their first cars too and they visit daily - All to have pass Grumpy Towers and a certain other property to access the house at the bottom of the lane - None of them use the lane as a rally track just a nice steady 5 MPH noisy trundle up & down the lane - drowns out the noise of the cockerels

Hardly the same league though..
Agreed - I need fer4l to bring the Lola over for me drool over whilst its run up to temperature
Ok a somewhat planned 'out and about' - a small gathering of my club (British Saloon car Club of Canada) - about 10 of us at a member's house. My first car gathering since 2019 (and likely the firthest I have driven in Ms Triss since then.)
The club host's Midget - a driver but mechanically awesome
while the Cortina owner is a Brit the car came from France

Seen whilst tagging along with Mrs GN at some National Trust garden thing - This Leyland Daf 4 x 4 overland camper conversion almost certainly a ex military truck
For reasons that were unclear to me, at the Alfold Rock & Blues Festival, the Morris Minors Owners Club was out in force. With one Cortina (even less clear to me why there was a Cortina in the MMOC). Anyway, this was my favourite.
Very much a Trigger’s Broom, but I think the badge was original
Not so clean but looked enjoyed. Can't remember the last time I saw one
With a few mods - that could be awesome.
Lots more wheel/tyre on the back, and bit of a rake. Think Starkey and Hutch Grand Torino, but maybe a bit more subtle, and definitely not a red/white paint scheme, the scruffy black is just perfect.
Oh and lots of power - supercharged V6 seems about right to me.
I'm off to Australia in November to see my daughter and grandchildren. Staying for Xmas but coming back just before New Year as have to clear out before the ex arrives. Will be in Mountain Creek on the Sunshine Coast and hope to see some interesting cars while I am there and maybe a show as it will be the middle of summer. Pictures will be posted in due course.
