1975 Peugeot 304 S Cabriolet with hard and soft tops.

Been a bit since I have posted anything because I have not done much. The cold weather absolutely kills my fingers and I get bad white finger numerous times a day making it difficult to work.
The worst was standing at the checkout in Aldi and when I looked down at my right hand the back of it was a bit blue and got much worse as I looked at it. I turned my hand over and my palm was purple. Luckily I had my phone with me so took a few pictures of it and when I got home I used the surgery EConsult feature to send the pics to my GP. Result was lots of blood tests which came back as normal and I now have to wait for an appointment with Rheumatology.
Other than that I am fine and have been doing little bits at home and on Friday I am off to Australia for just over 5 weeks to see my daughter and grandchildren.

So, I am after ideas for the illumination for the clock. The bulb holder is there and takes a capless bulb (like a 501 type) but the pins or contacts, whichever they are supposed to be are broken or missing. Any ideas where I might source I please?

The other picture is the cigarette lighter. I need either a blanking plug, a new element or a complete assembly. It is the type that is held in place by a large nut as per the picture. Again where would you suggest I start looking for one?

The bulb holder looks a lot like the Vauxhall one from the 60s/70, I'm out all day tomorrow but will try and dig one out Wednesday

Hi all! I'm new to the forum, so apologies if this isn't the correct place to ask this sort of question. Myself and a couple of friends are in the process of restoring a 1977 Peugeot 304 estate which is, for the moment, more rusty hole than car. I've been reading through this thread and feeling very inspired (and relieved that some of the craziness that we're getting up to might get us somewhere!) but as my experience, such as it is, is all in Saabs (I drive and adore a 1993 Saab 900) I'm at a bit of a loss with a couple of things. The major one at the moment is replacement panels - we've been stripping the car and will of course be doing a lot of welding but would love to know what is out there in terms of ready-to-fit panels. Would anyone be able to advise? (And please do feel free to let me know if this is the wrong place for this question!). Thanks in advance.

The image sent previously shows the two types of original ( as I see it ) lamp holders for the clock(s) - there are 2 types of clock both with black bezel ( not chrome / silver like the one you have ) Jaeger and Kienzle the Zienzle type being a secondary element .

It has been about 2 months but finally had a look at the car today. I came back from Australia almost 2 weeks ago and then got wiped out with something I think I caught on the plane. A rough 2 weeks but almost back to 100%.
Spent most of the day (didn't stay long) trying to figure where I had got to with the car and making a list of parts to bring next time and parts to order from France.
Heater controls need fitting first but they need some work so loosely fitted the dash which was good as the parts list increased so not a waste of time as it will save frustration later.

I will need to find a replacement glove box pocket (internal box) as mine is seriously shabby. Will message Vojo and hope he might have one spare.

The cig lighter in the post above is the same as mine. I tried my Avensis element in it but it is too small so still need to source a replacement. I don't fancy changing it to a usb socket it it will look out of place in an old car.

Waiting for the warmer weather before deciding if I continue to try and paint the car properly myself or throw in the towel and get someone to do it for me.

And that sums up the ethos of our little forum - likeminded classic owners / readers of the BRM Forum helping each other out - make me smile x lots 

A bit more on the trial fit of the dash and finding a home for the wiring. It will mostly come out again prior to final fitting.
