Im trying hard to get the van running and one thing I have been putting off is the fuel return pipe, only because I have not been able to accumulate all the bits, on the bottom of my pressure regulator is a 8mm OD push fitting, I have had one of these come off before, so I normally change the fitting for a 8mm compression fitting and run a 8mm OD plastic line back to the tank, when I fit olives to a plastic pipe, I fit a thin internal brass sleeve to prevent the olive crushing and possibly cutting into the pipe if over tightened, after months of searching in my boxes of bits, I found a sleeve that looked suitable, Not a chance, its too big, although it will fit inside the plastic, it also expands the plastic so the olive won't fit and after searching the internet, I had drawn a blank rot suitable inserts, but I did manage to buy some 6mm 0.2 wall brass tube........ that's a lot of words for something small, but it worked................... and a big thanks for Mr Bravo for modifying my kingpins and dropping them off to me, that will be my next task.......

eventually the tube turned up, this is a nice push fit into the plastic, them to get slightly creative,

oooh, an instant swage tool,

and a quick welt with a hitting stick,

and a bit of fettling I ended up with exactly what I needed.

Every job done is another ticked off the list! How far away from start up are we?

I think machine turning on the raised areas would look good especially if the rebated areas were painted - maybe a black wrinkle finish or finish / colour that matched other components on the engine

HELP.........
I have hit a snag , I seem to be able to find most things via the internet, I have built my injection wiring loom around some LUCAR (Lucas) relays and fuse blocks, made brackets, drilled bulkhead to exactly how I want things, looking really good, so.... terminate all the wires with barbed spade terminals, lots of them, go to push the spade into the back of the holders, and they don't fit, Bumhats, found a couple of the correct spades, but nowhere near enough, ordered more, waited 2 weeks, then I got a message saying, SORRY, out of stock 🙁 does anybody have ? or can anybody find any on the internet like this, EBay has drawn a blank, so has amazon
