Many things pass through my workshop from time to time - some of them not really worth writing a thread up for - hence my workshop distractions thread is where they land - here's a typical example
1970 Lambretta Cometa
Supplied stripped by the client
And shotblasted
Once prepared everything had to be painted white in order for the colour coat to work correctly

Currently in the workshop is this 1962 Labretta Scooter for a bare metal paint job
The leg shields have previously been made up from a cut & shut operation of some type - they are going require some extensive reprofiling to correct
Everything has been shot blasted so its now onwards with progressing the profiles as required
The most difficult area to undertake is the inner face of the leg shield - these are well battered and the profiles can only be worked by hand due to the concave nature of the panel
Steady progress made - more to follow as I get there
It will be great to continue seeing the projects that go on in your workshop, enjoy the updates on Instagram but missed them being in a forum. Warren
Instagram was a temporary home until we got things in place - this new forum is a humble beginning but give us time to adapt & grow - the BRM team is very grateful for the support that we have received to date
This was the right way to go. I/G was ok as a stop gap, but this is really the place to be. The tutorial style is the best, like Blue Peter without the 'one that I prepared earlier'
I’m glad this place is now live I’m no technical whizz but watching qualified others without egos inspires me a bit more in my capabilities and to do more jobs myself Thanks 👍

So that's all the parts painted, polished as required, smaller parts wrapped - then collected this morning and back with the owner for the rebuild - another one completed
Lovely colour combination Chris. Will the owner be sending you any pics of the completed bike to pop up for our delictation?
Certainly will he's itching to get it back together - so once done he'll post some pics over - he loves the colours - its a bit pastel / ice cream van for my liking but its bang on period style for the era it was built
