Currently on the market at £6k - Just 48,000 miles Appears very well presented and its in Princess trim but sadly a 3 speed auto - never seen one in this colour though
That has brought back some memories, of my parents first car - almost exactly that. Rather bizarrely as it was 50+ years ago, my mother was the first person to learn to drive, leaving Dad in the passenger seat, and me in the back. Thanks for the post.
Has anyone gone a later engine route with the Austin 1300 ? I want to stay automatic so thinking of a newer /later engine that doesn't require me to got to night school to wire in the electrics to get the engine running

Instinct says Micra & a quick look on the Web shows it's been done on Minis so shouldn't be too tricky. Easiest way probably to buy a complete donor & transfer the loom etc. too
Separately, I have freed the rear brake off on my Dad's 1300, so at some point I'll have to see if it'll start. And check if the other side is still free, or whether it's seized up again while I've been faffing about with the other one.

Looks nice. I'm not very familiar with these cars although we had them in the family when I was a kid (not a GT ever though) Boot lid fit looks a tad approximate? For sale not too far from me as it turns out.

Its on its money at this price - looks ok in the pics but unsure to how it would stand close scrutiny - Now quite rare and a good cheap alternative to the likes of a Escort 1300GT of the same era which be double the price
