1972 Honda 1300 Coupe - Vary rare & virtually unknown outside of Japan & Australia - This 1300cc air cooled model would certainly create the second look over here - Its right hand drive too - for sale with a Netherlands based dealer - £15,000

1987 Manatee single seater race car - Fitted with rebuilt 1600cc Subaru boxer engine - weighs just 400kg - looks like a heap of fun & should be on the quick side of fast if set up correctly - suitable for track days / hill climbs etc - Not a lot of money either @ £6,995
A mate of mine at school had the twin of this - so much fun, including a 2 week tour after A levels with a 5 man tent (all we could borrow!) on a boot rack, which led to hilarious oversteer in the wet. A good car for v sensible £ for the right person

The Volvo estate is back on again. Just under 90 minutes left and only £5,500 so far.
Ended at £5,500 this time.
I'd say that's what it's worth
Third time not lucky for this one. £6,100 on the first attempt. £5,500 on the second. £4,200 on the third and already relisted again. Fourth time Lucky? I doubt it unless he drops his reserve considerably.

Many thanks & well spotted - I'll make our Auz members aware of the sale - we have strong membership in both Auz & NZ where many models were exported as knockdown kits but I think the Javelin was exported has a complete vehicle

That is in amazing condition. They had long been replaced by the Carina E by the time I started my 12 year stint with Toyota but we still had plenty of them coming in for maintenance. The drive shafts bolted onto the gearbox output flange so removing the box for a clutch change was a nice clean easy job. No ball joints to split to remove the drive shafts from the box and no oil leaking out or having to be drained first. Very reliable cars.
EDIT. It must be my age. There was another model of carina before the Carina E. The model above had the 8 valve engine then came a more rounded shape with the 16 valve engine (from memory 4AF) and then it was the Carina E with fuel injection (4AFE and 7AFE, 1600cc and 1760cc and the 2 litre which might have been 3SFE) The Japanese built Carina E was the one to get as the British built one was rubbish.

Had a 97 Petrol GLX estate for a few years, incredibly comfortable car and no matter how neglected they are they never seem to rust (by others I hasten to add!)
