Series 1 Discovery - lots of expenditure - would tidy, clean & improve further - £3,650 - Series 1's are now starting gain strong interest as the Land Rover series market continues to outprice some potential owners

What a tragedy looks really nice on the outside - lovely V8 LS1 5.7 litre lump fitted 'Tastefully converted & restored' - in the sale description - I beg to differ the interior is bloody awful - dragged out of a dead modern of some description - talk about spoiling the party
I think its one of Pauls conversions, PA Cresta shell converted to 2 door and dropped onto a Monaro floor pan so it uses all the original Monaro interior, not to everyones taste I must admit
He also did a blue one on some other modern floor pan which looked better
Im still not convinced floorpanning is legal, as you have definantly cut the monocoque which then throws up the dreaded BIVA, neither has a chassis, so, technically its not a body swap either,

1951 Nash Statesman with a V8 engine & drivetrain fitted - looks solid enough - decent interior - but the car needs fettling - run as is patina style or repaint it & get noticed - vendor is asking £8k - bit pricey but a lump of the hard work is done - although the ratchet strap fix on the battery bracket is somewhat of a bodge - sort of gets you thinking what else is bodged to that extent or worse

Plenty of 'Lockdown Excuse' projects coming to the market now - 1967 Bedford CA Debonair Camper - Complete & largely original - just take a look at those period formica faced cabinets - it needs a good lump of work but would make for a delightful period camper upon completion - very, very rare in this format - but given the amount of work required its overpriced @ £7,750
Ford V8 fire engine. Suffolk. £15K 1935. Older restoration. Advert says owned for past 20 years but information online it was sold in 2019 for £5,100.00, (bought by grandson). Anyway, very cool and would pay its way with film & TV work.
Bugatti Type 57S Atalante coupé replica. Portugal. £29K Ad doesn't state what donor car used. It's a bit rough which leaves plenty of scope to improve it. It's £29,000.00 - you'd need to insert another three zeros into the price to buy a real one!
Mrs. JP once said I should get a fancy car to drive the nieces and nephews to prom (this after a club friend took my slightly nerdy nephew and his slightly nerdy girlfriend to prom in his roller - where they discovered quite by accident it was a Great Gatsby theme and everyone went berserk to get their pic taken with the car and my nephew was briefly the most popular kid in school. (oh and being slightly nerdy he will own the world one day)
At any rate, a Clipper is really close to the top of my list - maybe the top. Off the top of my head about the only thing that might beat it (and it isn't exactly a limo) is a DeSoto Suburban

If you like cars like that..... watch the current series of Fargo. It is based in 1950, and all the gangsters are in vehicles like that. They get plenty of screen time.

I've seen the ads and yes, very cool cars. Not exactly my type of show sadly. Mrs. JP tried to entice me to Downton Abbey and the Crown with a similar promise of cool cars - couldn't do that either.

Ho how I wish it was - that would put them a few miles up the road from me and out of my sight

And with all series of Fargo on catch up you can drool over successive generations of automotive icons!

1966 Hillman Huskey - Vary rare, very clean and if this is not a bargain I don't what is - I'd be surprised if its not already sold - vendor is asking £4k and its worth every penny

My dad had one of those and this got me looking in the old cigarette tin which has a number of very old tax discs, an receipts for all sorts of mechanical work. I was sure there were some Hillman Huskey ones in there but could only find loads of Commer Cob ones so having found them here is the original purchase invoice. I also have the invoices for fitting the side windows, passenger seat and rear seats among other things. Ridiculous prices
