The silver car with the Bonhams card I am tempted to say Facel Vega but not sure about that.
Ray - You are correct - It's a HK500 of 1960 - well advanced for its era - French built but Chrysler powered - Just 9,500 miles from new too but requiring recommissioning after being stood for a lengthy period - I thought it was cheap at £66,700 - but these have a reputation of being somewhat of a money pit

They brought a team of drifters in to waste tyres & fuel in order to entertain the crowds - not my scene but well received by others
More my bag - but out of focus shot - I'll leave to the fancy & expensive camera types to do the artistic pics
Now I've posted this shot - not for the racing but so you see the screen in the background - these are sited at various areas around the track - find a decent vantage / viewing spot and not only do you get to view what happens in front you but around the track too
I cant quite put my finger on it but there's something quite magical about Goodwood - its probably the home of historic motorsport in the UK - Now I have no real desire to wish my life away but roll on Classic Le mans at the end of June & Goodwood Revival in September
This just came up on Facebook regarding the bad accident at Goodwood.
UPDATE ON DRIVER INJURED AT GOODWOOD MEMBERS MEETING
We are grateful to the Frazer Nash Car Club for an update on Paul Waine, who was seriously injured during the Members Meeting last month. Racing was halted for an hour and Paul was evacuated by air ambulance to Southampton Hospital.
In a post on their website they state that Paul had his chest surgery in mid-April and his wife and children have been spending time with him in hospital "chatting away with him". The best news is that the club says "all is well and he’s on the mend"
Trust Goodwood to draw together such an amazing mix of machinery , thanks for documenting some of them.
If you cant find what will be considered the worlds best collection of competitive historic race cars at Goodwood then I doubt that you will find anywhere else but this is only the warm up - Goodwood Revival is the main event in September - Nope not wishing my life away in the slightest
