Racing - and lots of it happens over the 3 day event
I'm not going to bore you with my out of focus racing pics taken by camera phone but the racing is highly competitive - expect to see historic former world championship winning cars being put the limits and sometimes a little beyond their limits
What you cant see of the track is covered by professional real time camera's which is projected live to the huge screens that are placed around the track
Don't remember ever seeing a Triumph Herald police car. On that note there is a Morris 1000 police car I see on a regular basis driving around Carlisle. He has a black cover over the roof sign.

I'm pretty sure I've seen period pics of the Herald in police livery before today - its amazing what cars were used by the various police forces up & down the country - certainly the Minor was but I can recall Mini clubman's, Allegro's & Chevette's being used up in Yorkshire for beat cars - obviously much larger models for traffic / motorway patrols (maybe the makings of a thread for the forum at some stage)

Other stuff
You will find various vintage aircraft on display around the circuit infield and there's a couple of fly pasts each day which normally include a few Spitfires
You'll find no end of nice motors that the attending public or members turn up in either in the car parks, at the hotel or on the campsite
Motorbikes also take presence in some of the static displays
Including a V twin 5 litre 'Flying Millyard'
There's a fleet of vintage tractors towing seated trailers for getting around the outer perimeter of the circuit
A fleet of vintage buses that provide transport to & from the campsite / hotel & Kennels (members club)
A fleet of vintage / classic cars that provide transport for GRRC members & guests
There's also a fleet of classic Rolls & Bentley for the VIP's
The campsites are huge - this is just one of them - there's another 2 of equal size
Besides your normal sized tents, caravans & glamping pitches are row upon row of bus sized motorhomes
Some of which are 2 deck
And some which are quite unusual
No mater where you look there's something to do that's different
And when the racing stops the fun continues (we decided on doubling up on the beer order due to length of the queue for the bar)
And where else would you find a find a festival of vintage cycle racing
Complete with team support cars
Vintage cycle shop
Entertainment & refreshments
So that's Goodwood Revival for 2021 - One very special unique event that forms a without fail annual pilgrimage for myself
Thanks for posting Gents, unfortunately missed it this year for the fist time in about a decade due to a pending house move (I now remember why I dislike solicitors, though on the + side i'll only be a couple of miles from Goodwood soon fingers crossed...)
Is there a BRM coffee hour at the Members Meeting?

Jp - Unfortunately I cant make the members meeting due to club / car commitments - don't know if any of the regulars are attending - hope the house move goes ok
