Automotive styling has been in existence for well over centaury but probably one of the heights of styling was the era of the 'Tail Fin' origins of which appeared in the late 1940's but became prominent throughout the 50's & 60's
To a certain extent the Yanks did it the biggest & best
They did occasionally tone it down very slightly
Meanwhile the style was not lost on British & European markets
But we were a touch more sedate with the style on this side of the pond - please go ahead and post up your 'Tail Fin' pics - original designs only please none of this carboard box, a few pop rivets, 2 tins of of body filler, some left over rattlecans and a few skip sourced broken trailer lights
