not going into the worm-hole of whats mid engined and whats rear engined ,as far as i'm concerned if the engine ahead of your ass it's front engined , if it's behind your ass its rear engined! on that basis....

Good job you not a motoring correspondent or writer then - rule in general being is if the engine is behind the driving position but forwards of the the rear wheels / axle then its mid engined - should the engine sit behind the rear wheels / axle then its rear engined - Fiat X19 is mid engined

it is , isn't it!
so if you worked on that principal , this is mid engine as the engine it's pretty much behind the front wheels?
Two of mine. My first Clan registered 1974 and pictured at Doune Hillclimb. My second Clan registered 1971 and pictured at Ingliston in 1985. Both cars were very successful in my hands. The green one in sprints and hillclimbs and the other in sprints hillclimbs and circuit racing.
I had a similar Scimitar and X1/9 back in the day - both imperfect examples of their respective breeds, but almost the better for it - brilliant cars each of them
A Renault still features on my bucket list, although apparently they're a bit meh dynamically. The looks, and the Group B kudos though...
Meanwhile I don't know whether this is mid or rear engined but either way it's cool!
