Trailer has being doing a sterling job but has a fault with the winch remote that I'm currently attempting to resolve - but overall its proving to be an invaluable piece of kit and has cut my loading / unloading times down by well over 50% when compared to the old trailer
Just a thought, keep it well away from your phone when using. Probably won't help but worth a try. Failing that try a new battery in your remote, yes, I know it's new but it won't be the first a new battery or poor contacts have caused me incredible grief. Just a few thoughts to try to save you the hassel of taking it back to sort out.
Manufacturer not playing ball...or cant be arsed with them?
Trailer supplier not responding - its disappointing they build great trailers at very good prices but are utter rubbish at customer service - I'll go direct to the winch supplier and try and sort it that way
Already have done - so rather than them gaining 5 star reviews from me on Instagram complete with images / rather than me recommending them to others etc - they get sod all apart a negative review on 'Trust Pilot' when I get a min

Playing catch up on a lot of jobs currently - this late 1940's Jowett Bradford bulkhead has been hanging around awaiting its turn in the workshop for long enough
It came to me with the windscreen frame detached from it
I have already completed the windscreen aperture edge repairs to the frame
Along with panel repairs to the bottom corners of the bulkhead panels where they had suffered from rust perforation
There's a few component parts that require refitting / welding back to the bulkhead after they had been removed for repair - then I can reattach the windscreen frame prior to sending the bulkhead for a light blasting prior to primer
Several reasons for getting this one completed - main one being that it needs delivering to Yorkshire and I have trip planned in the coming weeks to deliver a vehicle up there so it might as well go with me - secondly the owner is now starting to advance the restoration of the vehicle having completed the building of his new workshop, thirdly I'm fed up of tripping up over it !

Spent a little time and got the windscreen aperture frame tacked to the bulkhead
From the A posts backwards the vans are of a ash frame construction - I keep a pair of A posts in stock so its easy to use them as a guide to get the position of the frame correct
Once I have the other A post trial fitted and I'm happy with the alignment I'll fully weld the frame up

The chapel has a 8 metre vaulted ceiling in part of the lounge - At some stage it requires some work & redecoration - I've also got the roof gutters to do outside along with the restoration of the internal stone work on several of the gothic arched stone mullion windows too - hence I have been in the market for a 6 metre alloy scaffolding tower - I'm going to need it for several months off & on so it pointless hiring one for a short period - A good quality professional one is £2500 new and a used one in the £1250 region - the DIY ones are just not man enough for what I need - so I kept my eyes open
I managed to obtain this one in a liquidation sale for £650 and took the trailer over to Bristol to collect it this morning - the tower will also come in handy with the planned workshop extension etc
Sad sight - apparently this was a very successful staging & exhibition company but with the pandemic killing the staging & exhibition market stone dead for the last 18 months the business recently folded
I also purchased a small bench top drill press (Axminster) which will come in useful
A pair of 2750mm lightweight steps - again to manage the height issues in the chapel when comes to decorating etc - plus a pallet truck (always handy things to have about given the number of projects / parts / engines etc that I have on the go

After a few attempts of trying to get hold hold of the right person at the company that built my trailer I got hold of someone who jumped onto the problem - they put a new remote winch fob & receiver in the post - its been here a week but I don't always keep the trailer at the workshop - anyhow today with the trailer outside I found time to fit the receiver to the winch which has resolved the outward cable feed issues
