Held a long appreciation for classic coaches and have always aspired to one - would be great fun - nothing over large but certainly classic - If they are good enough for Chris Evans & Ken Bruce to collect / own / use then they are good enough for me - this has just come to the market and at the right price
Its a 1955 Bedford SB fitted with Duple Vega coachwork - Ouse's no end of charm from the golden age of motor coaches - alas I have way too many other projects and absolutely no where to store it (maybe just if I alter the drive and take part of the hedge out to utilise part of the garden but that might just annoy a neighbour)

Love it - in the early 90s we had a Panorama Elite II converted to take a race car in the back a la Italian Job - loved that thing but couldn't afford to store it, sadly...

Race team I was with had a Leyland 600 originally but then we up graded to a Plaxton bodied AEC 760
Which the rear of can be seen in the pic - our own conversion and my paintwork on both the race car & coach
The coach we used for my daughters wedding in August 2015. Quite a memorable day as it was also 10 days after my first chemo and 2 days after a side effect from that had me in hospital with severe chest pains.
Owned no surprise by Wright Brothers. My partner wanted to sell her Corsa at that time and I actually sold it to one of the brothers which gave me a chance to talk to him about the bus. My memory is a bit sketchy as I had other things on my mind at the time but I am sure it was the first or one of the first busses which the company had. With it being an important part of the business history they decided to have it restored and spent way more than it is worth. The entire seating area has been re-upholstered and is immaculate. I think it got to the point they had spent too much but had to keep going but it was certainly worth it.
I've walked through this bus at a cruise night. Owned by a quasi Christian sect/cult who travel the country going to concerts where their ministry is helping people who are having bad acid trips. cashortrade.org/blog/the-12-tribes-tour-bus quite something inside.

Interesting back story - thanks for digging that out.
