Ray - Fair point - You are on the right track as its a Rootes Group vehicle & Minx based but its actually a 1957 Sunbeam Rapier Series 1 (and therefore very rare)

Thanks Chris. The origins of the car were clearly the Rootes Group but not a model I have ever seen before in the flesh or in pictures.

I think that is the same as the car my mum broke her neck in when i was about 6 months old. It was my grandfathers car and had just been resprayed in cornflower , mum accidentally backed it into a wall at a fair old lick. Mum survived , i dont think the car did.
