I hope you blanked off the battery connectors as it would be terrible if it would burn down after a short.

Amazes me how many cars you see like that - often a metal retaining clamp 1mm from both terminals!
As one who's had a battery exploded in his face (not pleasant!) & raced with people who've had batteries fall over & destroy the near quarters I'd advocate care too
