Matthewsons are holding a 2 day online auction over next Fri & Sat - 5th & 6th Feb 2021 - Within the sale there's a wide range of projects which I'll have a go at outlining here
1938 MG TA Tickford - Part restored - needs finishing - MG registration - £ Submit best bid UNSOLD
And that's just the projects - there's over 300 vehicles offered in a range of conditions from concours to running improvers along with stuff that will never see the road again (2 x Porsche's)

Totally agree Chris, like you I'm no lover of Ford's so just don't get what it is that makes people take leave of their senses. They were not the best car in their class in their day and there are way better cars for the money today.
Rant over, Matthewsons next auction is today and tomorrow, the TR6 is relisted.
Problem with used trailer market in general is that there's a lot of unmaintained rubbish out there that vendors want very strong money for - After doing some research there's only £1500 difference between a 5 year old ratty trailer and the new one I've just ordered
Long way for most of you but there are lots of metal working tools etc here as well as gym equipment, tractors, vehicles etc etc. Might be something of interest. 20% buyers premium and 20% vat.

There's a heck of a lot of stuff on there which will elicit a bit of drooling on forums like this. They've set opening bid amounts on all lots, some of them don't look very realistic to me, particularly when you've got to factor in another 40% on top. I think they'll be keeping a lot of this stuff.
Such a shame to see an institution such as this being taken out by the bean-counters, particularly as it's probably needed more now than it was a decade ago.

I posted the link before I had a good look and some of the starting prices are crazy. As you say they will be keeping a lot of it I think. They also have an auction for an Automotive Manufacturer and a good example is a shot blast cabinet which you can get new from Amazon or Ebay for less than the starting price and that is without the 20% buyers premium and VAT.

There's a huge 230 vehicle barn find collection coming to the online auction market in early June - Its in the Netherlands and is a sole ownership collection put together over 40 years - There's a wide range of both exotic & everyday cars - link to the early details below
I'd like to think so (I've advised & arranged this sale on behalf of the owner) but its a very hard market currently and the red Jupiter I had for sale was only bid to £21k with a Bonhams Marketplace auction and we had a £24k reserve on it - 18 months ago it would have achieved £30k +
