Ok so nearly a new week, so on with a new area, number 3... or is that 4?!, anyway this is where the 'working/completed' projects will live
...it's rather empty at present
Some big plans for this one, needs some tlc first then we'll see. Most importantly though it means there's room for expansion... or if we're being realistic, storage of those 'waiting their turn'
I'd also like to add a few period signs at some stage but need to keep an eye on some of the auctions for the right ones, some of the things go for silly money!
Good luck on that front - meanwhile Mrs GN does her best to cram anything into any space that I have anywhere - Frustrating thing is it's stuff that will never get used - its just using the space for the sake of it & hugely frustrating
Exactly the same problem here Chris. The loft is groaning with stuff we never use and there's not a Drawer or cupboard in the house that will close normally without first arranging the stuff shoved in there to "keep things tidy"

Keeping things ticking along, another new week so we're into a new area.
Again a bit of a two for one this week, as although it is two areas in my view it is technically one space. The first is a bit of a transition space,
Which while we're in lockdown has turned into a woodworking shop to build some workbenches from the leftover pallets from the PO and a few we've picked up. Got to love a bit of wombling.
First job was to break them down for the constituent parts.
of course it then turned into a bit of a bench build off - us competitive, never!
As you can see from the first pic above, the reason it's a bit of a transition space is that it has a ramp leading to a larger lower level. As this bit doesn't have any heating, guess who gets to play down here.
Also as you can see I've already started to fill it with parts for when my projects arrive and the bench has now been installed - more on its first use in my Celica thread.
Fear not, plenty more to see yet, but there are clues if you look close enough

Surely its a 'Tardis' and not a workshop - anyhow I'd better crack on and get that MGB of yours into my workshop and earn some brownie points - then if I ever need some workshop space

It could be described that way, yes.
Plenty of room here to fill if you need it, just a minor issue of a little bit of a trip away though
And a Mrs who not only builds benches but races you - must be close to the definition of heaven on earth!
You'd think that, but it's not always the ideal scenario - when there is a need for a quiet day's play in the workshop to solve some issues, having someone else on the air tools nearby isn't helpful. Hopefully with this new set up I can escape far enough away 🤣🤣

... a new week (well ish) and so a new area
Bit of an anomaly this one as it's not the biggest space thanks to the rather low ceiling but it is technically another double garage and should easily fit a couple of A35 shells / associated spares when they eventually arrive.
In the meantime though it's being utilised as a parts store / stuff I've accumulated and really need to sell / compressor room (albeit I'm on the look out for a new static compressor to sit on top of the tank you can spot in the corner,) the other linked tanks are hidden behind the racking. Yup the PO loved his air tools.
Anyone want to buy some rubber bumpers from an MG? 🤣🤣
Nice benches! you have some very useful spaces, looking forward to seeing them exploited!
Thank you, couple more to make yet, including a longer/narrow mobile one when the casters arrive.
In terms of exploiting the spaces, I guess they finally are... well of sorts.
We're not into the main events yet but at the weekend I managed to collect one of the guinea pig shells in order to free up the car trailer for another task. Rather pleasingly it fitted through the doors too
Meaning the shell could be offloaded in it's temporary home for the trial fitting of a few things

So another eve and chance to make a start on the longer, mobile workbench as the funky casters arrived
The casters should allow me to raise or lower the bench but I am going to modify them slightly with a bar between the two so they aren't so independent.
Next job will be to add a work top, add some fixed wiring and I've also dug out some spare ball bearing draw runners to make a few drawers.
Looks like you have a few great workspaces going there, can have lots of unfinished projects on the go A mobile bench is a godsend, dont know how i managed for so long without one.
