One that always catching me out is the Jaguar S type.... i was chatting with a guy about how he was restoring his and i was making all the really interested noises until he started talking about the abs system...interest waned instantly!!
as stunning as those daimler double sixes are , they both look better for two fewer doors
That would be my all time biggest dilemma, If I was buying a Jaguar XJ12 / Daimler Double-Six with a budget of about £35K would I go for a s1 saloon or the pillarless coupé?
If I had a fantastic example of each in front of me I don't think I could decide!

This incredible Martin Walter bodied Double-Six has a pretty interesting history.
Originally commissioned for Anna Neagle, as quite a new car it was entered in the 1932 Eastbourne Concours d’Elegance where it took the 2 most prestigious prizes.
For a long time it languished out of sight and deteriorated, it was eventually sent to the US for a 5 year long restoration. When completed it was entered in the 1999 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. It had only ever entered 2 Concours d’Elegance 67 years apart and won them both!
